The defending Super Bowl champions finished the regular season with a 15-2 record, winning the AFC West for the ninth consecutive year.
Kansas City finished as the AFC’s top team, and the top spot came with not just home-field advantage through the playoffs but also a first-round bye. The Chiefs return to the field in the divisional round and will host the No. 4 seed Texans, who beat the Chargers in the wild-card round.
After ending the regular season with two games on the road, the Chiefs return home for the first time since Dec. 21. Back at home in Kansas City, there is a chance that a special superfan will be in attendance.

Is Taylor Swift at the Chiefs game today?
As expected, Swift made the pilgrimage to Kansas City to watch the Chiefs’ divisional round duel with the Texans. She’s only attended home games this season and attended the teams’ home playoff games last year, so her appearance at today’s contest isn’t all that surprising .
The 35-year-old pop superstar (and girlfriend of Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce) missed just one home game during the regular season. That game fell on the last night of her globe-spanning Eras Tour, and she was in Vancouver, Canada, while Kansas City hosted Los Angeles.
Swift prefers going to home games because her security team and the team’s security team have a plan to safely get the music icon into the game without too much interference. She attended the regular-season game between the Chiefs and Texans in Kansas City on Dec. 21, which the Chiefs won, 27-19.

If the Chiefs lose, their season will end, as will their quest to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles.
With a win, Kansas City will advance to the AFC championship game. Kansas City would face either Baltimore or Buffalo, and then the winner of the AFC championship game will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
