The United States already picked up a tension-filled win over Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off, but the job is far from done for the Americans.

Another win over Canada is required for the USA to walk away with a championship, and the Americans will have to win in spite of a few injury concerns — including one that will keep defenseman Charlie McAvoy off the ice.

Nevertheless, the USA is high on talent and high on confidence entering what figures to be another emotional contest against their neighbors to the north, with more of a home crowd behind them in Boston this time around.

Here’s a complete look at the USA’s roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off as the title game looms.

Who coaches the USA 4 Nations Face-Off hockey team?

The USA is coached by Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan. Sullivan is in his 10th season with the Penguins, taking the reins of the team during the 2015-16 season and leading Pittsburgh to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships.

Sullivan has also had previous stints on the U.S. Men’s National Team coaching staff, and he’s the only American head coach to win multiple Stanley Cups.

Sullivan is joined by two other active NHL head coaches in Philadelphia’s John Tortorella and Minnesota’s John Hynes, plus former NHL head coach and current Penguins assistant David Quinn.

What team does Matthew Tkachuk play for?

Matthew Tkachuk plays for the Florida Panthers. He started his career with the Calgary Flames and was traded to Florida in 2022 after telling the Flames he would not re-sign as a restricted free agent.

Since that point, all Tkachuk has done is win. He helped lead the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Final in 2023, only to go back and win it in 2024. Tkachuk has two career 100-point seasons, one with each team.

What team does Brady Tkachuk play for?

Brady Tkachuk plays for the Ottawa Senators. The Senators drafted Tkachuk out of Boston University with the No. 4 pick of the 2018 draft, and the younger Tkachuk brother quickly became one of the cornerstones of a rebuilding Ottawa team.

Tkachuk is pursuing his fourth consecutive 30-goal season this year, though reaching the playoffs for the first time is a bigger priority with the Senators currently on the outside looking in.

With their spot in the title game already clinched and some key stars sitting out to nurse injuries, the U.S. lost a close battle against Sweden on Monday. The USA and Canada both went 2-1 in the round-robin portion of the tournament, and whichever team picks up win No. 3 on Thursday will be a champion.
