Injuries & suspensions update for Gameweek 4: Omar Marmoush and Yoane Wissa among absentees

DREAM TEAM brings you all the latest injury, suspension and availability news ahead of Gameweek 4.

Newcastle have been dealt an unfortunate blow as new signing Yoane Wissa suffered an injury knee while on duty for DR Congo.

The ex-Brentford forward will have to wait a little longer for his first appearance of the season.

Eddie Howe will also be without Jacob Ramsey for several weeks due to an ankle problem while Anthony Gordon remains suspended.

Vitor Pereira revealed that Jorgen Strand Larsen’s injury is worse than initially thought — the Norwegian striker won’t travel to St James’ Park.

Cole Palmer resumed partial training on Thursday and attempted full training today but it remains to be seen whether he features at Brentford on Saturday night.

In his Friday press conference, Enzo Maresca stressed the need to manage the England international’s workload.

Liam Delap may be out as late as mid-December and Dario Essugo has undergone thigh surgery.

Omar Marmoush will miss Sunday’s Manchester derby having injured his knee during the international break.

The Egyptian forward is joined by Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri while John Stones remains a doubt having withdrawn from England duty.

As for Manchester United, Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount and Diogo Dalot all miss out.

Ruben Amorim told journalists he intends to start Altay Bayindir in goal at the Etihad.

Leeds will be without first-choice goalkeeper Lucas Perri at Fulham with forwards Joel Piroe and Lukas Nmecha also doubtful.

Daniel Farke will make late decisions on Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka.

West Ham will assess Niclas Fullkrug’s calf complaint before making a final decision on the striker’s availability ahead of Tottenham’s visit to the London Stadium.

Thomas Frank said Dominic Solanke is “not too far away” but the striker won’t be available this weekend.

Radu Dragushin, Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison are long-term absentees for Spurs.

Ola Aina incurred a hamstring injury over the international break and may be out for up to three months.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is ineligible to play against his parent club and will therefore miss Ange Postecoglou’s first game as Nottingham Forest boss.

As for Arsenal, Williams Saliba participated in Friday training but Mikel Arteta kept his cards close to his chest in regards to the Frenchman’s chances of making the matchday squad.

Ben White and Christian Norgaard were also pictured in training this week.

Curtis Jones won’t travel to Turf Moor with his Liverpool team-mates this Sunday having picked up a minor injury last time out.

Jeremie Frimpong returned to training in some capacity this week but it’s not yet clear whether the Dutchman is ready for playing time.

When asked about Alexander Isak, the fifth-most popular recruit ahead of Gameweek 4, Arne Slot told reporters: “He missed a proper pre-season so now we have to build him up gradually.”

David Moyes admitted he was unsure about Iliman Ndiaye’s availability ahead of Aston Villa’s visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Unai Emery confirmed that Matty Cash is fit despite the right-back being forced off for Poland — he scored twice during the international break.

Oliver Glasner believes Adam Wharton, Ismaila Sarr and Eddie Nketiah will be in contention for Gameweek 6, ruling the trio out of Saturday’s game against Sunderland.

Centre-back Dan Ballard remains on the Black Cats’ injury list.
