Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford met today for their New York press conference to talk about their September 13th clash in Las Vegas. Crawford said he’s going to be “hunting everything he got” when he faces Canelo for his four 168-lb titles.

For Crawford, he’s looking to become a three-division undisputed champion. Terence said today that a victory over Alvarez will make him the #1 “all-time” great in boxing. Not surprisingly, the fans and media booed that remark.

Canelo Shoves Crawford: Face-Off Intensity

During the face-off, the undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo was forced to shove Crawford away when he pressed his head against his, trying to punk him in front of the fans and media. The challenger Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) was trying to make Alvarez look bad by getting in his face, and he wasn’t having any of it.

Canelo Alvarez: Turki all asked for this fight so much, and it’s a good fight for the fans.”

Terence Crawford: I’m hunting for everything he got, and I’m going to take it on September 13th.

Canelo: We’re going to prepare for Crawford. We know he’s a great fighter.

Terence’s Claim: Greatest of All Time

Crawford: “When I win, I’m going to be at the top [of all time great]. I want all the fans in the stands that boo me, they’re going to cry when they go home. I’m all about making history. I was the first two-time, undisputed champion of the world, and I’m going to be the first three-time undisputed champion. I respect Canelo, but once it gets close to the time, it’s time to go to work.

Canelo: “It’s going to be one of my great victories of my career. It’s going to be good for my books. We are professionals, but when he steps in the ring, it’s going to be different.

Dana White: Massive Fight Bonuses

Dana White: This is a once-in-a-lifetime fight. The main cards won’t cross over. You’ll be able to watch one and carry over. It’s going to be a historic night of fighting. The performance bonus is over six figures. So, it’s going to be a big bonus whoever wins it that night [for the KO].”

Max Kellerman: Who is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world? Crawford. Who was the best pound-for-pound fighter before Crawford? Canelo. These are the last two pound-for-pound, and they’re going to fight in Las Vegas. This fight is a perfect storm. This fight will be the most-watched prize fight in 50 years.

Crawford: “Why not? All the greats do things that people think are impossible. I’ve got all the tools to beat Canelo.

Canelo: For sure, I’ll be Terence Crawford. I don’t look like I’m the best Mexican ever. I think my numbers will talk when I retire. I’m going to prepare for any style he brings. I hope he brings a good style for the people. Turki, you needs to bring a small ring, a smaller ring.

Crawford: The only running I’m going to be doing is upside his head, and I assure you of that. He has a big head, too.

Canelo: We need to see what is going to happen. It’s going to be way different.
