ARSENAL star Ben White is ready to play for England again under Thomas Tuchel.

The Gunners right-back has been in self-imposed exile from international football since leaving the Three Lions camp for “personal reasons” during the 2022 World Cup.

But White confirmed he had made himself available to new head coach Tuchel after the German reached out to him ahead of his first games in March.

White, 27, fit again after knee problems, said: “I’m definitely available.

“I spoke to him a few times. He’s such a nice, nice man — very honest. I haven’t been back for too long.

“So it’s just about playing now and hopefully making my way back in.”

White and former England boss Sir Gareth Southgate have never publicly revealed why the defender left Qatar after the World Cup group stage.

There were claims of a row between White and Southgate’s assistant boss Steve Holland.

Whatever the reasons, White refused to be considered for England duty for the rest of Southgate’s reign.

On Friday, Tuchel will name his squad for next month’s World Cup qualifier in Andorra before a home friendly against Senegal at the City Ground.

The England boss did not pick White for March’s qualifying games against Albania and Latvia, but said the four-cap Gunners defender had made himself available again.

When naming his first squad, Tuchel said: “He loves to be back in the squad.

“It’s a bit too early given the seriousness of the injury he had. I’m delighted he’s back.

“We’ve been monitoring his training — huge compliments to the medical and performance department of the FA and thanks to everyone at Arsenal.

“We are on it and we are speaking to Ben.

“It’s now a question about getting more minutes and rhythm. He has every chance to be back.”
