  • Nolan McLean opened eyes with 5.1 scoreless innings in his major league debut, and Francisco Lindor stayed hot at the dish as the Mets beat the Mariners, 3-1
  • As good as his stuff was, McLean also started a spectacular 1-4-3 double play in the third inning, adding another moment to a storybook debut
  • Luisangel Acuña will be the Mets' 27th man for Sunday's Little League Classic in Williamsport
  • John Harper writes that the Mets fed off McLean's energy from the moment he took the mound, and it was his patented poise that stood out the most
  • Not that it was much of a question, but Carlos Mendoza strongly implied that McLean will make another start for the Mets
  • Meanwhile, Jonah Tong was dominant in his first start for Triple-A Syracuse
