‘I Was Trolling’: Ryan Garcia’s Admission About the Million De La Hoya Phone Call

Ryan Garcia now claims he was just “trolling” when he posted a clip of him pretending to be talking to promoter Oscar De La Hoya, demanding $20 million for his next fight. Garcia says he “even Oscar fell for it and he knows I haven’t talked to him.”

Garcia’s Social Media Stunt

Why wouldn’t De La Hoya think Kingry was serious about the $20 million? He’d said earlier that he was “moving on” from Golden Boy after he completes his final fight under his contract. He claimed that De La Hoya had no “respect”

“I have one more fight left with him, and that’s it. If they can build another star, great. I want to move on,” said Garcia to Ring Magazine.

Oscar knew that Ryan Garcia was faking, but how would he know that he wasn’t serious about the $20 million demand? It’s not as if the two are on good terms right now. We all saw Ryan’s rant this week, which made it clear he’s exiting Golden Boy after one more fight.

The $20 Million Demand Explained

Kingry says, “You can see he [De La Hoya] wasn’t on the phone.”

What is he talking about? How could fans see that he wasn’t speaking to De La Hoya when they couldn’t hear if there was anyone else on the line? Unless people could actually hear the conversation from the other end, how on earth would they know that Garcia was just pretending?

Pretending to Humiliate De La Hoya

Ryan made De La Hoya look bad in that trolling clip, as if he were an underling, being ordered about like a secondary person. There was no respect being shown by Garica. To even pretend like that, it was stooping to the lowest levels. He came off like he was in charge of De La Hoya.

It was weird because he’s never won a world title or achieved anything worthwhile, except for being popular enough on social media to land well-paying, mega-million-dollar fights against Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, and Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero.

Crazy how I have to write something for this but obviously I was trolling on stream, nobody talked to Oscar and said I need 20 million for a fight 😂😂 Geez you can see he wasn’t on the phone

Even Oscar fell for it and he knows I haven’t talked to him.

I can tell people still…
