The puck drops for the Nashville Predators on Thursday night, and they will be looking to make an early statement as they host the Dallas Stars in their 2024-25 NHL season opener at Bridgestone Arena.
Both teams have undergone some changes in the offseason. While the Predators worked to strengthen their offense, the Stars added defensive power to pose more threat.
The Preds signed Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault, and Brady Skjei, and traded Yaroslav Askarov. Meanwhile, the Dallas Stars traded Radek Faksa and Pavelski and welcomed defenceman Matthew Dumba ahead of the new season.
