ALEXANDER ZVEREV was left raging after his luggage ended up thousands of miles away from his destination.
Zverev, 27, decided to compete at the Argentina Open and flew to Buenos Aires for the tournament.
But upon arrival, the German tennis stars was informed that his bags were misplaced.
To make matters worse, the World No2’s luggage wasn’t anywhere near the Open’s host city.
Instead it flew all the way to the MALDIVES, which is about 8,700 miles away from Zverev.
The tennis ace was left fuming as he lashed out on social media, but still managed to maintain his humour.
Zverev posted on Instagram: “Could anyone explain to me how on earth it is possible for me to fly from Rome to Buenos Aires but my bags instead of coming with me being sent to the Maldives?
“I guess they need a vacation already.”
Zverev has been afforded an extra 24 hours by tournament officials for his luggage to be redirected.
The German also has a bye in the first round and will thus face either Dusan Lajovic or Roberto Carballes Baena in the second stage.
Zverev is looking to bounce back after his Australian Open heartbreak where he lost the final to Jannik Sinner.
This comes after also losing the French Open final to Carlos Alcaraz last year.
That was before he came up short against Dominic Thiem in the 2020 US Open final.
Zverev said after his loss in Australia: “It was a difficult moment for me.
“Now, for the third time, seeing somebody lift the trophy and me standing next to that is difficult because there’s nothing more I want than to be able to hold one of those trophies in my hands.”
