TIME for Big Ben Sesko? Or could Bryan Mbeumo even play down the middle this Saturday?
These are the dilemmas for Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim this weekend
Fresh from a famous win at Anfield, where he left out striker Benjamin Sesko, Amorim faces Brighton at Old Trafford.
In our hit YouTube show Tactics Exposed, Dean Scoggins explains why it’s likely Sesko will be on the bench again.
AMAD CALL
Amorim has a nice selection headache this week — with an in-form front three and a striker desperate to be picked.
But the United boss could also shuffle his pack and move Amad Diallo from wing-back into the front three.

SACK RACE
Premier League – Next Manager sacked betting odds: Who will be next to leave?
This would mean him dropping ‘favourite’ Mason Mount — to make a front three of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Amad.
Mbeumo would therefore be taking up a new position. Not just a new starting position, but the positions he takes up in the game.
The reason Amad is a risk at wing-back is because of the threat Brighton pose on the break — with flying machine Yankuba Minteh a particular threat.
If natural full-backs Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu are the wing-backs in Amorim’s 3-4-3 set-up, they are more comfortable dropping into a back five.
LAMMEN AID
Keeper Senne Lammens has made a great start at United with his long passes a big plus.
United have won the big games they’ve had less possession in — Liverpool and Chelsea — but as Brighton also like to counter-attack, both teams might be trying to get rid of the ball rather than keep it!
SESKO CONUNDRUM
When you buy someone like Sesko for that amount of money, it’s difficult to consistently leave him out.
You’ve stuck him on the bench at Anfield and it worked. Then you’ve got a home game, you’d expect him, as a big striker, to come back in, but actually didn’t the front three look a lot better and more mobile without him in it?
It’s a very, very difficult decision because of who they’re playing against in Brighton.
The two centre-backs for Brighton in Van Hecke and Dunk are very, very dominant in aerial positions.
Therefore, you would say that there are two sides to that coin. Do you play your big number nine to compete against them?
Or do you say, no, we’re not going to win that battle, so therefore we don’t?
