MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia “has asked to leave” Napoli, according to boss Antonio Conte.
The Georgian winger, 23, is one of the most sought-after forwards in football after a fine spell in southern Italy.
Kvaratskhelia has 30 goals in 107 games following an £8million switch from Dinamo Batumi in 2022.
The playmaker fired Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years during his debut season.
But Khvaratskhelia is now eyeing a move abroad for a new challenge.
Man United and Chelsea are both thought to be interested.
While Liverpool are also looking at him as a potential replacement for contract misfit Mo Salah.
Fabrizio Romano claims French champs Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a five-year deal after offering to QUADRUPLE his wages to nearly £140,00 a week.
And a January exit now looks inevitable after Napoli boss Conte confirmed Khvaratskhelia has now formally requested an exit.
Former Chelsea and Spurs gaffer Conte said: “Kvaratskhelia has asked to leave the club.
“I spoke to him and he confirmed his plan to leave the club immediately.”
Khavaratskhelia’s last appearance for Napoli came in the 1-0 win over Venezia in late December.
He failed to even make the squad for last weekend’s 3-0 victory at Fiorentina.
And he is set to miss out again when Napoli host Verona tomorrow evening.
The Italians are eager to reclaim their Serie A crown after losing it to Inter Milan last term.
Napoli are currently top of the table on 44 points, two ahead of Atalanta and four ahead of Inter — who still have two games in hand.
