THE scandalous US Open hat thief Piotr Szczerek has been dubbed the new Coldplay kisscam CEO – as furious keyboard warriors slate the “jerk” millionaire.

The cap-pincher left a young boy near tears after snatching tennis star Kamil Majchrzak’s hat from him – before online sleuths revealed the thief‘s identity.

In the latest barrage of online attacks, “entitled” culprit Szczerek has now been dubbed the “new Coldplay kisscam CEO”.

Social media users compared him to unfaithful Astronomer boss Andy Byron who was caught red-handed with a colleague at a Coldplay concert in July.

Comparing Thursday’s ordeal to the Coldplay fiasco which set the internet ablaze last month, one user said on X: “Which one’s worse, Coldplay CEO or Tennis CEO Piotr Szczerek?”

To which one internet user replied: “Of course its Szczerek.”

One seething user hit back: “Is that even a question? What Szczerek revealed of his personality is way worse than the wrongdoing of the Coldplay CEO…

“We don’t know how his relationship with his wife was and we didn’t see how miserable he could be.”

Another fuming X user blasted: “This is going to be worse than going to a Coldplay concert and cheating on your partner, who steals a cap off a child at the tennis?”

And another weighed in, claiming that Szczerek belonged in the sixth level of Dante’s Inferno.

They said: “Both are bad but I would rank the Coldplay CEO as in Dante’s fifth level of Hell with Piotr Szczerek in sixth level.

“Piotr stole from a child. A person who steals is perfectly capable of also cheating since they care solely about their own needs.”

New vid of Coldplay kiss cam CEO Andy Byron shows ‘cheating’ pair standing out in crowd in plain view of Chris Martin

It comes after internet sleuths revealed the hat-snatcher as Szczerek from Poland, CEO of paving firm Drogbruk.

Majchrzak also confirmed to the New York Post that Szczerek is the man in the video, and revealed he sponsors his tennis federation in Poland.

The shocking scene played out after young Brock watched Majchrzak score the biggest win of his career against Karen Khachanov on Thursday.

The 29-year-old Polish athlete was filmed removing his cap and trying to hand it to Brock, who was stood in the crowd looking like a child on Christmas morning.

But a brazen onlooker stood next to the boy suddenly swiped it instead – quickly stuffing it into his bag as if it were nothing.

The kid looked absolutely devastated as the man took off with his new trophy.

Majchrzak didn’t notice the shocking moment.

Brock appeared to even say to the millionaire spectator: “What are you doing?”

The clip soon went viral, sparking outrage and indignation from tennis fans.

Many branded the man who took the hat “selfish” and a “jerk” for stealing the kid’s thunder.

But ever since Majchrzak was made aware of what happened, he’s moved heaven and earth to put things right – and Brock has been reunited with his sporting hero.

He launched an Instagram appeal on Friday to find the boy.

“After the match I didn’t record that my cap didn’t get to the boy,” he posted.

“Thanks to @asicstennis I’ve got enough caps, so I’m prepared for that.

“Hey guys, could you help me find the kid from my match. If it’s you (or your parents see this), please send me a DM.”

His appeal was a success, and he has since been reunited with Brock.

A heartwarming clip posted on Instagram shows the pair shaking hands and chatting.

The Sun reached out to Drogbruk for comment.

The notorious kiss cam scandal which unfolded last month involved married Astronomer CEO Byron and head Kristin Cabot.

Their ducking reaction to being filmed at Boston’s gig caught the world’s attention – with millions talking about an alleged affair for weeks on end.

Both Byron and Cabot resigned as part of the ensuing fallout – both of them having families.

They have both dropped off the radar after their cosy embrace went viral, sparking a riot of memes online.
