Harry Kane reveals doubts over leaving Bayern for Tottenham transfer return and where he plans to finish career

HARRY KANE has revealed his doubts over returning to the Premier League.

The England captain is open to signing a new deal with Bayern Munich — and hinted he could end his career in the US.

Kane, 32, admits to no longer being certain of a Prem homecoming, even though Tottenham do have a first option on re-signing him after his £104million exit from them two years ago.

Kane, who has 18 goals in ten games for Bayern this campaign, said: “In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that.

“I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet but if they do  arise, I’d be willing to talk.

“It depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. We are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

“In terms of the Premier League, I don’t know. If you had asked me when I first left for Bayern, I’d have said for sure, I’d come back.

“Now I’ve been there a couple of years, that has gone down a bit, not so much — but I wouldn’t say I would never go back.

“America is too early. MLS would be something later in my career when I am thinking about the last couple of years or so.

“What I’ve learnt in my career is that different opportunities happen and things fall in place.

“Going back to my first point about Bayern, right now, I am fully all in with them.”

Kane joined the German giants for an initial £86m and the release clause in his deal would allow him to leave for £56.7m next summer.

Spurs manager Thomas Frank last month said the club’s ex-talisman is “welcome” to return.

And Kane knows he is only 47 goals shy of Alan Shearer’s Prem-record haul of 260 goals.

Yet ahead of Thursday’s home friendly with Wales, the Three Lions hero said he loves playing for Bayern boss — and Manchester City legend — Vincent Kompany.

Kane – who also revealed he has tweaked his diet as he chases World Cup and Ballon d’Or glory – added: “I have still got this season and another season.

“It is not like I am into my last year. It is not like there is any panic in that sense.

“I love the manager at Bayern. He is fantastic and, as always, as long as we are improving and I am improving, then I am happy to see what we can achieve.

“I just don’t think there is any need to rush anything on both parts. Obviously, we are only two months into the season.

“If there is to be an extension, it has to work for everyone and it has to have a clear vision on where we see the club.”

Kane looks set to start against both Wales and Latvia next Tuesday in a World Cup qualifier.

Meanwhile, City defender Nico O’Reilly, 20, has been called up by the senior team after Reece James was ruled out by an injury he picked up playing for Chelsea.
