“Haney Train is Coming to an End”: Norman Sr. Vows to “Park” Haney in Riyadh Desert

Brian Norman Sr. says his son, Brian Jr., is going to “park” the Devin Haney train in the desert in Riyadh on November 22nd. He’s going to knock him out and get rid of him from the sport.

Norman Sr. can’t wait until his son faces Haney (32-0, 15 KOs) so that he can show fans what he already knows. Devin is a fake, and his career has been built on fluff wins against older fighters.

Why Haney’s Nervous

“According to Devin, we’re not [a better fighter]. According to Devin’s fans, we’re not. What’s the worry? If y’all truly believe what you say,” said Brian Norman Sr. to MillCity Boxing, “If you truly believe that no matter how much power we got, he’s not even going to land. What’s up with the nervousness?”

For Devin and Bill Haney to be downgrading Norman Jr. so much, it’s a clear sign of worry. They know this could be bad for them if Brian Jr. wins, especially if it’s by a brutal knockout. Haney’s career might never recover from him being KO’d in the same way Norman Jr’s last opponent, Jin Sasaki, was on June 19th. He lost his memory for the six previous weeks.

“Devin Haney is such a good boxer. Brian Jr’s feet are so slow and so flat. Devin Haney is going to box him to sleep,” said Norman Sr. “His power doesn’t matter. Remember? That’s what y’all said. His power doesn’t matter. Do PEDs give you abilities to do something that you can’t do? What are we talking about? It’s crazy.”

Devin Haney’s Sinking Ship

I’ve never seen Devin this worried before. It’s a combination of things that’s doing it. The poor performance last May at Turki Alalshikh’s event on May 2nd, his loss to Ryan Garcia, and the potential ruin of his career if he’s knocked cold by Norman Jr.

So, he and Bill are going to talk as much as they can with hopes of mentally throwing Brian Jr. off enough to get the win. It’s pure desperation, but that’s all they can do. Devin’s trying to save his sinking career, as his ship is barely above the waterline.

Haney Train Ends November 22

“Bill [Haney] is just scared. It’s okay. The Haney train is coming to an end. We’re parking the Haney train on November 22nd. We’re parking it in the desert. It’s going to be caught up in a sandstorm in the desert,” said Norman Sr.

Brian Sr. isn’t kidding. Haney’s train is nearing the end. Having it end in the desert in Riyadh would be a tough way to go, getting knocked out in front of Turki and the fans in Saudi Arabia. Even if this fight weren’t happening, Haney’s situation is still bleak. Other than Mario Barrios, Haney has limited hopes for picking up wins in the welterweight division.
