Golf Tournaments for the Second Half of 2025

2025 is rich in spectacular golf events. Even though many tournaments have already been completed, plenty of them are scheduled for the second half of the year. The Open, FedEx St. Jude, Barracuda, and Wyndham are just some of the events golf fans are looking forward to. We will tell you about all the tournaments so that you do not miss anything. If you’re interested in betting, platforms like GGBET let you place wagers on your favorite golfers.

John Deere Classic, 3-6 July

The tournament is held annually as part of the PGA Tour. Originating in 1971, it first took place at Crow Valley Country Club in Iowa but in 1975 got to Oakwood Country Club in Illinois. Since 2000, the tournament has been played at the TPC Deere Run in Illinois. The purse is set to 8,400,000 this year.

Genesis Scottish Open, 10-13 July

The Scottish Open is one of the premier DP World Tour events. It became part of the Rolex Series in 2017, and its prize pool increased from 3,250,000 to 7,000,000. In 2023, the purse reached 9,000,000. This year, the tournament will take place at the Renaissance Club, one of the most picturesque locations for professional golf competitions.

ISCO Championship, 10-13 July

The tournament was organized by the PGA Tour in 2015 as an alternative to the Scottish Open and was known as the Barbasol Championship until 2024. In 2025, the golfers will meet at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky and compete for a 4,000,000 prize pool.

The Open Championship, 17-20 July

The British Open is the oldest and most famous golf competition worldwide. Founded back in 1860, the tournament welcomes not only professional players but also amateurs, who can get there by qualification or invitation. The winner receives The Golf Champion Trophy, gold medal, prize money, and a guaranteed entry to multiple competitions scheduled for the subsequent years. The Open will take place at the Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland, and we will see a lot of big names there this year.

Barracuda Championship, 17-20 July

The event had been known as the Reno-Tahoe Open until it became sponsored by the Barracuda Networks in 2014. Held by the PGA Tour, the 2025 tournament edition will take place at the Tahoe Mountain Club in California and will have a purse of $4,000,000.

3M Open, 24-27 July

The 3M Open is another professional competition on the PGA Tour. It has been held annually since 2019, bringing together 156 best golfers at the TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota. The winner gets a share of an impressive 8,400,000 prize pool.

Wyndham Championship, 31 July – 3 August

The tournament was established in 1938, which makes it one of the oldest golf competitions in the US. It was originally called the Greater Greensboro Open after the city where it’s hosted. The event is held at the Sedgefield Country Club and has a purse of 8,200,000.

FedEx St. Jude Championship, 7-10 August

It’s the first competition included in the FedExCup Playoffs. The tournament partners with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, hence the name. However, it was first called the Westchester Classic and hosted in NY. In 2021, the event was relocated to the TPC Southwind in Tennessee. The prize fund is 20,000,000.

BMW Championship, 14-17 August

The BMW Championship is the second playoff event for the FedExCup. The tournament was founded in 2007 by the Western Golf Association and soon became one of the most important competitions on the PGA Tour. Just like the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the tournament has a 20,000,000 money prize.

Tour Championship, 21-24 August

It’s the final competition of the FedExCup Playoffs set to be hosted at the East Lake Golf Club in Georgia. The PGA Tour has abandoned the starting-strokes format for this season, so we will see all 30 players beginning the event at even par, making it easier to follow. The prize money will probably reach $25,000,000.

Procore Championship, 11-14 September

The tournament marks the start of the FedExCup Fall Series. It includes 144 golfers, both raising talents and established PGA Tour stars. The Procore Championship will be hosted at the Silverado Resort, and the purse is $6,000,000.

Sanderson Farms Championship, 2-5 October

The Championship has a long history, as it was established in 1968 as part of the PGA Tour. Over the years, the tournament had several sponsors (Deposit Guaranty, Farm Bureau, and Viking) until Sanderson Farms signed a sponsorship agreement in 2013. What sets the Championship apart is that it donates money to statewide charities. Players get nice cash rewards as well since the purse is $6,000,000

Baycurrent Classic, 9-12 October

The tournament was earlier known as the Zozo Championship due to the sponsorship of the Japanese brand Zozo. The event was established in 2019 as part of the PGA Tour and Japan Golf Tour. The matches take place at the Yokohama Country Club in Japan, and the total money prize is very generous – $8,500,000.

Black Desert Championship, 23-26 October

The Black Desert Championship is played at the eponymous golf course in Utah. The tournament was established last year, becoming the first competition hosted in the state during a 60-year period. The prize fund is $6,000,000.
