‘Give West Ham another £105m I don’t care’

ARSENAL fans hailed Declan Rice’s performance against Bayern Munich and declared: “Give West Ham another £105million.”

The England midfielder was at his imperious best as Arsenal thrashed the German champions 3-1 at the Emirates.

Goals from Jurrien Timber, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli ensured Harry Kane had a nightmare return to North London.

Bayern’s sole strike came from teen sensation Lennart Karl.

But despite not getting on the score sheet, it was Rice who stole the show with a dominating performance in Arsenal’s midfield.

The ace was a nuisance all over the pitch as he lived up to his box-to-box tag.

Rice’s heat map showed he was more active on the left and middle of the field.

But his 66 touches came at either end, with the star particularly active exploiting space in Bayern’s half.

Rice also made sure to play the role of playmaker to a tee.

He made 49 passes throughout the match, with just 10 of them failing to find a teammate.

Meanwhile, Rice also taught a lesson in how to win back the ball cleanly as he took on the role of destroyer too.

He made one tackle and won two duels to show it was not just a superb technical performance on his part.

Rice even failed to concede a single foul, leaving Bayern frustrated in the centre of the park.

And reacting to the stats, fans hailed Rice’s latest top performance on social media.

One said: “Give West Ham another £105m for Declan Rice, I don’t care.”

Another declared: “We genuinely underpaid for Rice.”

One noted: “Rice got me roaring at my TV bro.”

Another added: “This guy is a different beast right now.”
