Giants QB Tommy DeVito reveals Love Island obsession with Jaxson Dart

The New York Giants have a revamped quarterback room in 2025, headlined by veterans Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and first-round pick Jaxson Dart.

But it wasn’t long ago that Tommy DeVito was all the rage in New York. His off-field persona grew into a life of its own, and while his actual quarterback play has his roster status on shaky ground — the Giants won’t carry four QBs in 2025 — he’s still showcasing the personality that launched him into 15 minutes of Big Apple fame.

DeVito was back at it again on Wednesday from Giants minicamp when he revealed a surprising guilty pleasure that he and Dart share: their fandom of the reality show, ‘Love Island.’

If you’re unfamiliar with Love Island, here’s the basic rundown of the show, via Peacock: “A real-time dating competition featuring a group of sexy singles living in a tropical villa who must try to win the $100K prize by coupling up and surviving to the end.”

“Me and Jaxson might go on ‘Love Island,'” DeVito said. “We’ve talked about it so we really don’t know what’s about to happen.”

DeVito stopped short of saying he and Dart binge-watch the series. Maybe he realized he shared way too much.

“I can’t say we [watch] it every night,” DeVito said. “But from time to time, if we get an off day, we watch it and talk about it.”

Who will the New York Giants keep at quarterback?

The 2025 NFL season will usher in a new era of New York Giants quarterbacking. Russell Wilson will begin the season as the QB1; there’s little to no doubt about that, even with the sudden surge of buzz around Dart as minicamp wrapped up.

Jameis Winston will go through training camp as the QB2, and, barring a surprising turn of events in training camp and the preseason, Winston should open the season as the primary in-game backup.

Jaxson Dart will be the QB3 on paper, but the reality is that he’ll be the first quarterback off the bench to replace Russell Wilson, if and when coach Brian Daboll decides to make a change.

That leaves Tommy DeVito the odd man out. Perhaps there will be a place on the practice squad for him when he’s inevitably cut. But if he wants to continue fighting for an eventual starting job in the NFL, he’ll have to sign elsewhere to do it.
