MANCHESTER UNITED fans were left grimacing after realising which two players will miss their next match.
United suffered yet more Premier League misery after falling to a 2-0 defeat at Wolves.
Goals from Matheus Cunha – whose goal was the second United have conceded from a corner in eight days – and Hwang Hee-Chan condemned Ruben Amorim’s side to a third defeat in as many games.
And they were not helped after captain Bruno Fernandes got sent off for a second yellow 90 seconds after the break.
It means he will miss United’s next game against Newcastle on December 30.
But Manuel Ugarte was also booked – meaning he will miss the game too – leaving fans fearing the worst.
One said: “No Bruno and Ugarte too vs Newcastle. What’s the point in any of it. Get rid of the lot.”
Another added: “No Bruno Fernandes or Manuel Ugarte for Newcastle and now we’re losing on Boxing Day…”
One fumed: “No Bruno and Ugarte against Newcastle. That will be another loss sadly.”
Another raged: “No Bruno, No Ugarte for Newcastle…. ridiculous.”
United sink to 14th, with Amorim pointing to Fernandes’ sending off as the beginning of their demise at Wolves.
Amorim said: “Of course, when you lose, when we don’t win, it’s a step back. It was really hard with the sending off.
“The goal was similar against Tottenham. Then, we tried. Even with one less guy we tried to and I think we were near something but then Wolves scored the second one.
“Then, in the end, we tried everything and the transition was 2-0. For us, let’s continue.”
