Gavin McKenna could be the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
In the meantime, he’s lighting up the Western Hockey League.
And on Sunday, the 17-year old Canadian scored one of the best goals you’ll ever see at any level of hockey.
McKenna, playing for the Medicine Cat Tigers, took the puck in transition with a defender skating backward in front of him.
The lefty McKenna went to the crossover left-to-right, then spun back right-to-left, before slotting home a quick shot.
Absolutely brilliant.

McKenna isn’t just occasional flash, either.
In 2023-24, he had 34 goals and 97 total points in 61 games in the WHL.
Then in the 2024 IIHF U18 World Championships, he led CanaBda with 10 goals and 10 assists.
This season for Medicine Cat, McKenna has 41 goals and an absurd 88 assists in 56 games played.
The NHL better be ready, because McKenna is coming, and the tank for him could be pretty strong next season.
