Fuming Bellamy says ‘I hope I see you again’ after spotting ex-Premier League boss’s gesture during Wales friendly loss

CRAIG BELLAMY wants a World Cup rematch with Canada after criticising Jesse Marsch for celebrating their friendly win BEFORE full-time.

Wales lost for just the second time in 12 matches under Bellamy as Derek Cornelius’ free-kick secured victory for next summer’s tournament co-hosts in Swansea.

And Dragons boss Bellamy was unhappy with the way ex-Leeds boss Marsch behaved in stoppage time with Wales still trying to salvage a draw.

Bellamy said: “I’m actually not happy because I really hate losing more than I like winning.

“I saw him (Marsch) celebrating at the end. I’m thinking, ‘I hope I see you at the World Cup. I hope I see you again’.

“But I have to also be gracious. Jesse was shaking his coaches’ hands before the final whistle. I have to get used to that.”

Bellamy picked an experimental Wales side with eight changes from the 1-0 World Cup qualifying win in Kazakhstan last Thursday and gave three debuts to Ronan Kpakio, Joel Colwill and Kai Andrews.

He added: “I’ve got to see more of the squad. We have to go young and we can’t sign players.

“That’s the reality. I’m living it now. I can’t double up players in certain areas because we don’t have the players so we have to come from young.

“I’m very concious. I want our nation to be healthy for a number of years. So I have to play them.

“I don’t give caps away. (Ethan) Ampadu is out, (Josh) Sheehan is out, Charlie Crew has to play because he’s the next in line. I feel I’ve learned and seen where we are.”

Next up for Wales is another friendly with England at Wembley on October 9 before resuming their qualification bid against Group J favourites Belgium in Cardiff four days later.

Former Premier League star Craig Bellamy teased for ‘not believing in rainbows’ after bizarre interview

Fulham’s Harry Wilson said: “We have to be on it when we play the teams above us in the world rankings.

“We have to make sure we are perfect in everything we do because all it takes is one moment to punish us.

“They did that with the free-kick.

“It’s a massive camp next month. They are the games you want to play in.

“England away at Wembley, everybody knows what a great side they are with amazing players.  It will be a great test for us.

“Then we have one of those special nights in Cardiff in front of the Red Wall in a massive qualifying game.

“We are full of belief that  we can do something special with the fans behind us.”
