The first Mercedes team wear designed by adidas has been unveiled, while fans of the squad can now also get hold of the latest merchandise.
It is the first time adidas has entered F1 and the company has claimed its involvement will “break new ground” by designing each piece of team kit for the individual requirements of the person wearing it.
More details have now emerged on the diversification of design, with the clothing for drivers George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli produced using “lightweight fabric” while the wear for mechanics includes reflective details as well as a cut “tailored to provide mobility”.
“It’s incredible for us as a team to work with a brand like adidas that truly understands what it is like to operate at the highest levels in sport,” said Russell.
“Their knowledge, expertise and attention to detail is something that is only going to benefit us as a team and hopefully give us an advantage as we set out to fight for race wins and championships, both this season and beyond.”
The first range of fanwear was also launched with caps, t-shirts and trainers among the items available.

“The collection is the culmination of hard work and dedication from our creation teams to deliver a collection that supports the sporting performance of the whole team in everything they do and is also one that fans can proudly wear both on the streets and in the stands at races,” adidas product lead, Bianca Mast, said.
“We believe sport is for everyone, at every level, and motorsport is no different. Together with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, the prospect of bringing the pinnacle of motorsports to a new audience is a one that truly excites us – and we can’t wait to see the famous three stripes in the paddock this season.”
The deal with Mercedes is a timely coup for adidas, who recorded annual losses in 2023 and lost face last year when the Germany national football controversially ended their long-standing partnership in favour of signing on with Nike from 2027.
While adidas is new to F1, there have been reports it could follow up on the deal with Mercedes by striking a similar agreement with Audi when it completes its full takeover of the Sauber team from 2026.
