GAMEWEEK 13 is an important one in the Dream Team calendar.

For the first time this season, all 20 Premier League clubs are set to play twice.

The first full double Gameweek of the season encourages managers to think outside the box.

Generally, the most engaged gaffers tend to target additional midweek fixtures, particularly the European competitions, which means clubs with comparatively relaxed schedules tend to get overlooked.

Gameweek 13 being an even playing field brings several impressive performers into consideration with Igor Thiago (£4.2m) being a prime example.

Brentford’s No9 may have missed a stoppage-time penalty against Brighton last weekend but the fact remains only Erling Haaland (£7.9m) has scored more goals in all competitions this season.

Similarly, only the Manchester City marksman boasts a better points-per-game average among all Dream Team assets (minimum three appearances).

A rare double Gameweek for the Bees undoubtedly brings Thiago into the spotlight.

Unfortunately, one of his two fixtures is a trip to the Emirates, where Arsenal concede very few goals.

However, his first outing of Gameweek 13, against Burnley at the Gtech, could yield healthy returns.

The Brazilian striker is currently the third-most popular recruit ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Elsewhere, Bryan Mbeumo (£5.9m) is worthy of careful consideration given he averages 7.2 points-per-game, the highest rate among midfielders.

Manchester United’s No19 has scored six goals and ranks second in his position for shots on target.

The Red Devils are scheduled to face Crystal Palace (a) and West Ham (h).

Speaking of the Hammers, Jarrod Bowen (£4.8m) is usually a decent selection when unhampered by a fixture deficit.

The same could be said for Lucas Paqueta (£4m), who boasts a better points-per-game average than the likes of Eberechi Eze (£4.9m), Jeremy Doku (£4.6m) and Enzo Fernandez (£4.6m).

On paper, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side face a tricky test in the form of Liverpool (h) and Man United (a) but it appears to be a good time to take on the defending champions while Ruben Amorim’s side lost 1-0 to 10-man Everton on Monday night.

Danny Welbeck (£3.3m) is the third-top scorer in the Premier League this season and so a double round of top flight games boosts his viability.

Brighton will travel to Nottingham Forest on Sunday before hosting Aston Villa on Wednesday night.

Midfielders Yankuba Minteh (£4m) and Diego Gomez (£3m) deserve mentions too.

The former is level with Declan Rice (£5.3m) as Dream Team’s top assist provider at the time of writing while the latter is joint-top goalscorer in his position having netted seven in all competitions.

Along the south coast, Antoine Semenyo (£4.6m) would usually be top target for any Bournemouth double headers but he missed the Cherries’ 2-2 draw with West Ham in Gameweek 12 through injury and remains flagged at this stage.
