FANS were left fuming at two new Sky Sports features as the 2025/26 season kicked off.
The first game of the campaign saw Liverpool beat Bournemouth 4-2 at Anfield amid emotional tributes to Diogo Jota.
But before the match started, Sky Sports stunned supporters with several fresh shake-ups.
The first saw Fantasy Premier League stats used live in the studio, allowing viewers playing the game to get some last-minute tips.
Meanwhile, the second saw a new intro song introduced.
Sky Sports have had some iconic tunes throughout the years.
And the latest bop was a brand new song written specially by Kasabian called ‘G.O.A.T’.
However, fans were not impressed with either new serving.
For the FPL stats, one fan dubbed it “woke nonsense.”
Another declared: “Game’s gone.”
One noted: “Hate how mainstream FPL is.”
As for the new song, it was also slammed online.
One fan said: “Dreadful title music. The f**k is that?”
Another noted: “Why did Sky change their music?”
One added: “Sounds like Sesame Street.”
Liverpool stormed into a 2-0 lead at Anfield, going ahead before half-time through Hugo Ekitike.
Their second came moments after the break as Cody Gakpo fired home.
However, the game was overshadowed on the half hour mark as play was stopped during a claim of racism made by a fan to Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.
But the winger bravely bounced back by netting two goals to level the game at 2-2.
