Fabio Wardley 243 vs. Justin Huni 248 – Official Weigh-in Results for DAZN

Unbeaten Fabio Wardley weighed in at 243 lbs while his opponent Justis Huni came in at 248 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in for their 12-round battle for the WBA interim heavyweight title this Saturday, June 7th at the Portman Road Football Ground in Ipswich, England.

Wardley Nose Injury: Huni’s Target

Fabio’s nose still looked marked up today from his battle against Frazer Clarke in their first fight in 2024. That’s going to be a target for Huni (12-0, 7 KOs) to aim for on Saturday. Luckily for Wardley (18-0-1, 17 KOs), Huni isn’t a big puncher because he would do damage if he had any power. If you’re Huni, you’ve got to target that nose and rearrange it early to make it difficult for Wardley to breathe.

Wardley-Huni Fight Time, DAZN

Wardley-Huni will be shown live on DAZN. The main card begins at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 A.M. PT. The ringwalks for the main event between Wardley and Huni is approximately at 4:30 P.M. ET / 1:30 P.M. PT.

The winner of Saturday’s clash between Wardley and Huni will reportedly be fighting for the WBA ‘Regular’ title in late 2025 against Kubrat Pulev or Michael Hunter.

Fans haven’t shown much interest in the Wardley vs. Huni fight for obvious reasons. Although the WBA interim title is at stake, people view this as a low-level contest involving bottom fringe-level heavyweights. They don’t see this as a fight that should involve the WBA interim belt because neither of these guys has distinguished themselves on the world scene.

Heavyweight Dillian Whyte has chosen not to fight on Saturday’s card. According to Wardley, they were unable to find a suitable opponent for him to fight on short notice.

It’s just as well. The way the 37-year-old Whyte has looked in his last few fights, he’d likely lose againt any scrub that was dug up. At this late stage of Dillian’s career, he has nothing left and is barely holding things together with the help of weak match-making.

“I see a mandatory shot for a world title. After this fight, or maybe at the end of the year in January or February of next year, I feel I’ll be very much in the front row to get myself a title shot,” said Fabio Wardley to iFL TV about what he expects to happen if he’s victorious against Justis Huni on Saturday.

Dillian Whyte Pulls Out of Card

“This is a breakout in my hometown. It would have been fantastic to have him on the card. It was relatively short notice to find him a good caliber of opponent. That’s what we were trying to do,” said Wardley about Dillian Whyte pulling out of the card.

“We didn’t just want to put him on for the sake of it. He doesn’t want to fight any old body and knock them over in a round or two. It doesn’t benefit anyone at all. So, we couldn’t find a high enough caliber opponent for him in enough time. Also, he’s been working on something big in the background, and that’s for him to say. That’s why we just thought as a whole team that ‘This isn’t the right one for you to be on.’
