A court heard he used a forgery in May 2024 but, on his second visit, his fake prescription was seized by a suspicious pharmacy worker.

Ibe, of Southwark, South London, admitted using a fraudulent document at Highbury Corner magistrates’ court.

He was also told to pay £85 costs and a £72 victim surcharge.

The winger played 41 times for Liverpool before spells at Derby County, Birmingham City and AFC Bournemouth.

Ibe then had a short spell with Turkish club Adanaspor but left without making an appearance.

The former Premier League winger then spent various spells with non-league clubs to try and get his career back on track.

He is now at Bulgarian first division side Lokomotiv Sofia.
