NOTTINGHAM FOREST chief Evangelos Marinakis joined a very familiar face during the Champions League match between Arsenal and Olympiacos on Wednesday.

Marinakis was at the Emirates Stadium with Olympiacos for the European meeting.

And he was pictured next to former Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle and Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez midway through the game.

Benitez has not managed a team since leaving Celta Vigo last March.

The Spaniard revealed last month that he would love to coach in England again one day.

He told The Telegraph: “Sometimes to be described as ‘a legend’ is very nice, but also complicated.

“It is bad for a coach to be seen as retired. People still ask me, ‘Do you want to coach?’

“For sure, I do, particularly in England and Europe.

“I do not want people to think I am finished. I am still evolving.”

Benitez could have been a potential candidate for the Nottingham Forest job following the dismissal of Nuno Espirito Santo last month.

However, the Reds appointed Ange Postecoglou instead.

The former Tottenham head coach is yet to win a game with Forest.

Postecoglou has suffered three defeats and two draws during his time at the club so far.

Marinakis watched on as Olympiacos – one of his other clubs – lost in the Champions League to Arsenal on Wednesday.

Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners ahead with a tap-in after just 12 minutes.

Bukayo Saka then made it 2-0 in added time after coming off the bench.

It saw the Gunners move to fifth in the league phase table.
