Jackson’s misjudgement
Nicolas Jackson will be missing from at least this clash for the Blues, having already missed the end of the season in the Premier League.
His red card against Newcastle saw him miss crucial clashes, before he scored in the Conference League final.
And, once again, he saw red in the Club World Cup.
A horror challenge against Flamengo changed the complexion of the game, with Chelsea going on to lose 3-1 with ten men.
Liam Delap will start, and will surely stake a good claim to be the first choice in the new season in Jackson’s absence.
State of play
With two games done, there is only one left in the group.
Flamengo have booked their place, and LAFC are out, with these two battling it out…
- Flamengo…6
- Chelsea…3
- ES Tunis…3
- LAFC…0
