Enzo Maresca refuses TEN TIMES to expand on ‘worst 48 hours’ swipe

ENZO MARESCA insists he is committed to and happy at Chelsea but refused to back down from his row with club insiders.

The Blues boss dropped a cryptic bombshell on Saturday evening, saying the previous two days had been the worst since he was appointed at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup quarter-final at Cardiff on Tuesday, Maresca was given upwards of ten opportunities to clarify his comments.

But he claimed they were “very clear” and repeated that he had nothing to add – offering no apology.

Asked if he was happy at the club, Maresca said: “Absolutely, yes.”

The Italian was asked a string of questions with regards to his bizarre outburst following their victory over Everton on Saturday, which had followed a four-match winless run.

Asked if he had discussed the perceived “lack of support” with the Chelsea ownership, Maresca added: “I already spoke about this, I don’t need to add more things.

“I already spoke about that and I think I was quite clear.

“I respect your opinion and I don’t have anything to add, my focus is just on tomorrow’s game and that I can achieve the third semi-final since I joined the club.

“We are in an era where everyone can say what they think, I respect people’s opinion but I do not have anything to add.

“My focus is on tomorrow. What I said after Everton game, I already said.

“I said after the game that I love Chelsea supporters, they deserve the best and I have nothing to add.

“I can speak Italian, my language, Spanish very well, French very well, and English more or less.

“When I want to say something, I’m quite clear. I already spoke after the game, I don’t need to add more.”

Asked if he was enjoying this season and being the Chelsea manager, the Blues boss said: “Absolutely, yes. Fantastic. No matter if we win or lose or we are in a good moment or a bad moment. We can learn always, I love to learn.”

Maresca confirmed that Cole Palmer, who is being managed after returning from a groin injury, will not feature against Cardiff though Moises Caicedo is available after suspension.
