DEAN HENDERSON dedicated Crystal Palace’s FA Cup win over Manchester City to his late dad.

The goalkeeper put in a top performance as he made multiple saves to keep Pep Guardiola’s men at bay.

Henderson even blocked out a penalty from Omar Marmoush following Ebe Eze’s 16th minute opener.

But he was also in involved in controversy after handling the ball outside the box.

Henderson was facing a red card before being saved by a controversial VAR review.

And he still found time to delight fans by donning an old-school baseball cap on the Wembley pitch.

Henderson was then involved in a post-match clash with Pep Guardiola, who waved his finger in anger at the Palace goalie.

Yet Henderson’s thoughts were fixed elsewhere.

The ace’s father Dougie sadly passed away in July just days after the Euro 2024 final, where Henderson was an unused sub in England’s 2-1 defeat to Spain.

But after finally getting his hands on the FA Cup trophy today, Henderson dedicated Palace’s win to his dad.

The former Man Utd goalie said on live TV: “It’s why I left (Man Utd), it’s what I set out to do.

“But honestly I lost my dad at the start of the season and I’ll miss him here today.
