DYNAMIC duo Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz have been confirmed for the US Open mixed doubles event.
This year’s competition is taking place before the main tournament on August 19 and 20, with £750,000 in prize money is at stake.
The 2021 US Open champ Raducanu and five-time Grand Slam king Alcaraz, both 22, are one of six wildcard teams.
There have been suggestions that the duo are linking up off the court too.
Relationship rumours sparked after Raducanu watched the Spaniard in action during Queen’s.
A source told SunSport that the pair have had a “spark” as they arrived at the tournament within minutes of each other.
This was after it was suggested that they had spent a couple of days together.
However, Raducanu has claimed that they are “just good friends” before the start of Wimbledon.
But the pair will be spending a lot more time together now they are confirmed for the New York tournament – with two more partnerships still to be announced.
Eight of the competition’s 16 pairs received direct entry into the draw, including Emma Navarro and Jannik Sinner, along with Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud.
Sinner will be looking to get one over Alacaraz again after beating the Spaniard in the final of Wimbledon earlier this month.
The Italian, however, has recently been slammed for rehiring fitness coach Umberto Ferrara, who played a key role in his failed drug tests.
Britain’s Jack Draper is in the main draw, paired with Paula Badosa.
An updated entry list was unveiled on July 22, with Badosa and now ex-boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas removed.
They had previously been referred to as a “power couple” on the court as they started dating in 2023.
But the couple, dubbed “Tsitsidosa”, reportedly broke up during Wimbledon – where they both surprisingly lost in the first round.
Draper, meanwhile, suffered an early exit at the tournament as he was knocked out in the second round.
He navigated his way past Sebastian Baez in the first round but lost 4-6 3-6 6-1 4-6 to Marin Cilic.
Elsewhere, US duo Jessica Pegula and Tommy Paul will team up.
Other notable wildcards include Novak Djokovic and Olga Danilovic.
