Welcome to another week A’s fans!
The recent homestand went so-so as the A’s first got swept by the Rays before winning a series against the Rangers. Considering Texas is in our division if we were going to win a series it’s good we won the divisional matchup.
Now the club is back on the road and set for their last road four-game series of the season. Kansas City is up first and the A’s have an excellent chance to win back-to-back series for the first time since June. At 51-74 the Royals are way out of the playoff picture and just a couple games ahead of the A’s. If the Green & Gold can come away with a 3-1 series win, they’d leapfrog them for third-worst record in the AL. The goal this year needs to be to not finish last in either the division, the league, and the entire sport. We got four very winnable games coming up and the club needs to show up. Rookie right-hander Mason Barnett starts things off tonight for us. Time to rack up some wins!
Have a great start to your week everyone.
