Edwin de Los Santos Signs With Zuffa Boxing at Lightweight

Edwin de Los Santos Signs With Zuffa Boxing at Lightweight

Edwin De Los Santos just signed with Zuffa Boxing, and it’s a massive win for fans who hate boring fights. Zuffa hasn’t shown much interest in babying their roster, so adding a guy who makes every night difficult is a perfect fit.

Brunch Boxing broke the news after catching up with his manager, Adrian Clark. The appeal here is pretty simple. De Los Santos is dangerous, he’s ready to work, and he’s never an easy out.

The 26 year old finally got back in the ring on December 13, 2025, and reminded everyone what he does by starching Eliot Chavez in a single round. That win ended a two year layoff that started after he lost a decision to Shakur Stevenson back in late 2023. The time away might’ve hurt his ranking, but it didn’t change the way other fighters look at him.

People still can’t stop talking about that Stevenson fight. By the middle rounds, the fans were losing their minds because Stevenson spent the whole night moving and refused to actually trade. De Los Santos just kept coming forward, hunting for one clean shot instead of playing it safe.

Stevenson fought for the win on the cards. De Los Santos fought to close the distance. The crowd let them know exactly how they felt about it.

It makes sense why guys are hesitant. A year before that, De Los Santos wiped out Jose Rayo Valenzuela in just three rounds. Fighters don’t forget power like that. Trainers don’t forget it either. You don’t have to sell his punching power because everyone already knows it’s there. They just don’t want to be the one to test it.

Zuffa has been all about putting guys in tough spots since they started. De Los Santos fits that vibe perfectly. He isn’t some prospect you have to protect or build a story around. He either clips you or he doesn’t.

In a division like lightweight, that makes him a huge asset. Usually, careers at 135 are built by avoiding the wrong people. De Los Santos has been the guy getting avoided for a long time.

If Zuffa keeps him busy, he isn’t just another name on the roster. He’s a problem that everyone else in the division has to solve.
