ATLETICO MADRID star Alexander Sorloth was rushed to hospital after a worrying clash of heads.
The Norwegian big-man, 30, was defending a corner in the 23rd minute of Atleti‘s LaLiga clash against Levante when he sustained a scary injury.
Sorloth received a cut to his head and severe bruising, and was taken to hospital for medical tests.
These tests have since ruled out a number of serious health concerns, and he will return to Madrid with his team-mates.
The club released a statement that read: “Tests carried out on Alexander Sørloth have ruled out fractures and cranial hematomas.
“The Norwegian forward suffered a blow during the match, which caused an incised-contused wound in the left frontoparietal region.

“Sorloth will return to Madrid with the squad and will remain under observation as his recovery progresses.”
The incident occurred when the forward jumped for a header to clear the ball, but his momentum took him crashing into the head of Matias Moreno.
Both stars collapsed to the ground in pain following the collision, before being treated and quickly substituted by their respective teams.
Sorloth may be a recognisable name to Premier League fans, having spent a brief spell with Crystal Palace between 2018 and 2020.
The 6ft 5in target man made just 20 appearances in all competitions, and managed a single goal, before being sold to RB Leipzig.
He has been capped almost 70 times for Norway, for whom he sometimes forms a strike partnership alongside Manchester City star Erling Haaland.
