GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA has reportedly “agreed” personal terms with Manchester City.
Talks for the Italian goalkeeper to pen a new deal with French champions Paris Saint-Germain recently collapsed.
Donnarumma, 26, has one year left on his current contract with the Ligue 1 giants, who have decided to cash in on him now rather than let him leave on a free transfer next year.
And the Italy international, according to Fabrizio Romano, has agreed a lucrative deal with City – who are said to be in talks with PSG over a transfer fee.
He wrote on X: “Gigio Donnarumma has agreed on personal terms with Manchester City, keen on joining Pep Guardiola.
“Negotiations are also underway between Man City & PSG, fee will be under initial €50m request.”
Donnarumma’s move to the Etihad is said to hinge on City’s former first-choice keeper Ederson, who is wanted by Galatasaray, departing the club.
PSG have already moved on from Donnarumma, replacing him with former Lille keeper Lucas Chevalier.
And he bid an emotional goodbye to the club after their 1-0 win over Angers on Friday, taking to the pitch to say his farewells to fans.
The keeper, who was an unused sub, was given a rapturous applause by the Parc des Princes faithful as he walked to one end of the pitch and clapped the fans.
Donnarumma, who was briefly linked with a move to Manchester United, looked visibly emotional as he waved goodbye.
He was briefly mobbed by his team-mates before he hopped over the advertising hoarding to get closer to the fans.
City fans will be excited by the prospect of Donnarumma moving to the Etihad, especially after James Trafford’s nightmare display in Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham.
The 22-year-old England international was a nervous wreck throughout the match and was at fault for Spurs’ second with a terrible pass inside the box.
