The Miami Dolphins find themselves in a rough spot ahead of the 2025 NFL season. Not only do question marks remain around Tua Tagovailoa’s health, but the Dolphins could enter the season without two of their top players. Not only has Tyreek Hill expressed a desire for change, but star cornerback Jalen Ramsey has also requested a trade after just two seasons with the team.
As for landing spots for Hill, there could be several destinations, such as pairing up with any of the quarterbacks he listed in his top five on his Snapchat story a few days ago. Additionally, Hill could look to fill a void on another team, as the Pittsburgh Steelers could be in the market after a recent deal.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Steelers parted ways with wide receiver George Pickens, as Pittsburgh sent him and a 2027 6th-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 2026 3rd-round pick and a 2027 5th-round pick. While the Cowboys now add another weapon alongside CeeDee Lamb on the outside, the Steelers are now without one of their top receivers going into an uncertain 2025 season.
Even though the Steelers have D.K. Metcalf for next season, there’s not much else in terms of weapons next season. Especially with the Steelers not having a clear-cut starter and the Aaron Rodgers free agency still going on, it appears as though Pittsburgh still wants to add another receiver following Pickens’ departure.
Insert Hill, who regressed significantly last year without Tua throwing him the ball, and Pittsburgh could strike a deal while his price has decreased. The Steelers could essentially flip that 2026 3rd-round pick from the Pickens deal and another asset to get the deal done, pairing an elite deep threat next to Metcalf.
However, Hill and his camp could be hesitant to accept a move like that, given the uncertainty of the quarterback position. But if Rodgers does join the team or rookie Will Howard impresses in training camp, Hill could be swayed to put on the black and gold.
