Dolphins cut ties with Tyreek Hill in trade proposal for two future stars

The Tyreek Hill trade rumors probably won’t slow down anytime soon, especially if he keeps posted peace sign emojis on social media.

The Miami Dolphins don’t appear to be in a hurry, but it could be something they consider down the road.

Bleacher Report recently put together a likely Hill trade proposal.

B/R writes that if Hill moves, it could be for two 2026 draft picks, a second-rounder and a fourth-rounder.

Those picks would be a chance to get new young talent in place of the aging, declining Hill.

“The Dolphins must consider all of their options, as the 31-year-old has a $27.7 million cap hit this season and a staggering $51.9 million in 2026,” B/R’s Brent Sobleski writes. “They aren’t keeping him at that number next year. They’ll either renegotiate his contract or ship him elsewhere.

“The Dolphins won’t get anywhere near what they originally sent to the Kansas City Chiefs for Hill (a first-round pick, a second-round pick, two fourth-round picks and a sixth-round pick). However, the chance to clear his contract and no longer worry about how invested he is from one day to the next could be a net positive.”

Hill, for his part, has suggested the door is open.

“I just got to do what’s best for me and my family,” Hill told reporters at the end of the 2025 campaign. “I’m opening the door. I’m out, bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day I got to do what’s best for my career because I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”

Stay tuned here, because the drama isn’t likely done in Miami.
