The Miami Dolphins are in a tough spot for the next couple of years, mainly due to the numerous cap issues within the team. However, a deal is expected to be made before the offseason is over, which would involve the Dolphins moving on from veteran Jalen Ramsey.
Another veteran on the team is Tyreek Hill. Hill has had trouble staying out of the news for all the wrong reasons, but during OTAs, he seems to have adopted a new mindset—one that should have everyone excited based on the way he’s talking. The veteran wants to return to his old self and has been working hard all offseason to reach a point where he can prove to his teammates that he is still the guy.
“Every day I’m trying to prove myself as one of those guys this team can depend on in crucial moments. . . . It was tough. Emotions were high then. At the end of the day, I’m just looking to move forward from that. Hoping that I can prove myself and prove to my teammates that I’m still one of those ones,” Hill said.
The wide receiver hasn’t always had the best relationship with head coach Mike McDaniel, but that could change. Alternatively, the Dolphins could trade him, according to CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin.
“As of now, the All-Pro speedster appears set to return to the Miami Dolphins, despite his repeated hints of displeasure following the 2024 campaign. And yet, are we sure the Dolphins wouldn’t entertain offers if they came in for the 31-year-old deep threat, who’s had his fair share of off-field concerns even since exiting the Kansas City Chiefs? Miami would save close to $15 million by trading Hill after June 1 versus suffering a net loss of $600,000 by dealing the ‘Cheetah’ prior to June 1. Potential landing spot: Broncos,” Benjamin wrote.
If Hill were to be shipped to the Broncos, he would join a former rival from his time with the Kansas City Chiefs. Hill has lost weight this season and could very well be faster than ever before.
