The Seahawks are trading wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Steelers, days after the Pro-Bowl receiver requested a move.

The idea of a trade involving Metcalf was initially floated during the NFL Combine. He has one year left on his contract but will join the second team of his career, having spent the first six years in Seattle. With the move, Seattle will head into 2025 with Jaxon Smith-Njigba as its WR1, but without two franchise cornerstones in Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

he deal also could signal that the Seahawks are going to invest some draft capital into a wide receiver come April.

Metcalf provides an instant boost to the Steelers’ wide receiver core. Here is more information on the trade details and how Metcalf’s NFL career has gone so far.
