ROY KEANE calls Nottingham Forest’s players “idiots” and accuses them of letting Ange Postecoglou get the sack.

Keane claimed Forest players had a “careless attitude” towards Postecoglou’s sacking on a Stick to Football video.

Postecoglou was sent packing after a winless run in all his games in charge.

He was brutally sacked by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis 20 minutes after their 3-0 home loss to Chelsea on Saturday.

The Irishman, known for his bluntness and wit, took a bitter swipe at Forest players during the latest Stick to Football segment.

He said: “You look at the Forest players and the chances they had. What chance has he [Postecoglou] got? Did they really want to score?

“Did they want to keep him in the job? I’m on about good players not even hitting the target

“Then the manager loses his job, you look at these Forest players, and they’re like, “oh well, another manager has gone, a new one comes in, you know.”

“Idiots, honestly.”

Marinakis has gained a reputation for his ruthless approach to business after sacking Forest legend Martin O’Neill and announcing his successor while O’Neill was still in his office.

The Greek was visibly frustrated during the Chelsea clash and even “stormed off” during the second half. He sacked Postecoglou 20 minutes after the full-time whistle on the City Ground.

Keane’s former Manchester United teammate Gary Neville also chimed in and called out Marinakis on his behaviour and his treatment of managers.

Nev said: “I’ve sacked four managers face-to-face in my time at Salford.

“Honestly, as a football club owner, it’s one of the worst things you can do.

“You always think about the right time – obviously for the club, ultimately you’re doing it because the club isn’t happy and, as owners, you’re not happy.

“but you’re always thinking about how you deliver that news and where you deliver that news from the point of view of the manager.

“And also giving him integrity. When you get sacked as a manager, you feel paranoid, you feel like the whole world is looking at you, you feel awful, you feel like you’ve let everyone down.”
