BEN SHELTON was cheered on at Wimbledon by his superstar girlfriend – the daughter of “one of the greatest sportsmen of all time”.
The American No10 seed faced Lorenzo Sonego on No1 Court on Monday.
Shelton, 22, was hoping to book his place in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon for the first time.
And Trinity Rodman was in his box roaring him on.
She looked glamorous as she stole the show by rocking a stunning, shimmering blue two-piece outfit at the All England Club.
Rodman, 23, is a footballer for Washington Spirit and the United States national team.
She has 11 goals in 47 caps for the USWNT.
But the Californian – who started dating Shelton in March – also has a very famous dad.
That is because she is the daughter of basketball great Dennis Rodman.
Rodman Sr is a true NBA legend, winning five NBA titles during his 20-year career.
He was part of the great Chicago Bulls team of the late 1990s alongside Michael Jordan.
And when the BBC TV cameras cut to his daughter in the crowd at Wimbledon early in the second set, Andrew Castle made his bold statement.
Castle said: “Trinity Rodman is part of the US football set-up.
“She’s in the national team, scored a goal in the World Cup final.
“Her father is Dennis Rodman who is one of the greatest sportsmen of all time and in my opinion the greatest rebounder in NBA history.
“And he’s the biggest wind-up merchant of all time.
“I mean, nobody wound people up more than Rodman.
“When he was with the Detroit Pistons in the NBA… they used to ruin Michael Jordan’s life, then they were team-mates at the Bulls and legends together.
“So there is no one Trinity doesn’t know in the hierarchy of US sport and a big star herself.”
Rodman Jr was sat alongside Shelton’s sister Emma on Monday.
But on Saturday, Emma was hilariously booed by the Wimbledon crowd after her brother outed her publicly for working for Morgan Stanley.
Shelton hit headlines earlier in the tournament when his second-round match was suspended for bad light just as he was ready to serve for the match in the third set.
He had to be held back from the umpire by a tournament official.
And he made a statement by returning on Friday to wrap up victory in just 70 seconds – with three aces and a service winner.
