CRISTIANO RONALDO took the “worst penalty ever” as fans said “Rasmus Hojlund got in his head.”
Ronaldo, 40, lined up for Portugal in tonight’s Nations League quarter-final clash against Denmark.
The ace’s side arrived chasing a 1-0 deficit from the first leg.
Manchester United striker Hojlund netted a late winner in Copenhagen earlier this week.
And he toasted the strike by imitating Ronaldo’s “Siu” celebration.
Prior to tonight’s meeting, CR7 snapped at a journalist after questions over his form.
Ronaldo also urged Portugal fans to get behind the team and help them reach the Nations League semis.
But the iconic forward spurned a glorious opportunity to give the home support something to cheer about in Lisbon.
With just five minutes on the clock, Portugal were gifted an incredible route back into the game when they won a penalty.
Ronaldo, who has scored a record 135 international goals, stepped up to the spot.
But after taking his traditional run-up, the striker hit a tame effort at goal.
Denmark goalie Kasper Schmeichel easily collected the shot.
