The Dallas Cowboys have made some interesting moves during the offseason, but the team is still a few players away from likely competing at the highest level.
More importantly than anything, the Cowboys will hope to stay healthy.
With a below-average offense outside of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys will have to make some difficult decisions over the next few months.
They drafted two running backs in the NFL draft but didn’t find an elite wide receiver.
With the team needing more, the Cowboys could decide to cut ties with some of their players. One of them could be surprising.
A recent prediction has them moving on from Miles Sanders, the veteran running back the Cowboys signed in the offseason.

“The Cowboys signed the veteran running back late in free agency and he felt like a place hiolder in case the draft plans didn’t pan out. With the team drafting not one, but two RB prospects, Sanders is clinging to his roster spot by a thread.
“Jaydon Blue is the RB the team targeted and was drafted in the fifth round. He brings speed and game-breaking ability to the offense,” Ben Grimaldi of USA Today wrote.
Moving on from Sanders this quickly would be a questionable decision from the Cowboys’ perspective, but it wouldn’t be the craziest thing that the organization has done in recent years.
He’s coming off a below-average year with the Carolina Panthers, posting just 205 yards on 55 attempts, averaging 3.7 yards per carry.
If the Cowboys could get the old Sanders, who posted 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022, there’s no reason they should consider moving him.
