George Pickens is the talk of Dallas.

After being acquired by the Cowboys, fans and analysts alike are theorizing what the new weapon could bring to a team starved for playoff success.

People got their first look at Pickens wearing the star on Tuesday for OTA’s and the debut garnered headlines.

The receiver trotted out wearing the number 13, which he says could change before the season begins. He was also spotted with CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott, a trio that the Cowboys hope will give opposing defenses nightmares.

The on-field action was fun but the real treat was the media getting the chance to speak to Pickens about his new home.

He was asked about meeting Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, who likely made the final decision to trade for the 1,000 yard wideout.

Rather than a bland, vanilla answer, Pickens pointed out Jones’ childlike joy in a funny way.

It’s a spot-on comparison when you consider that Pickens is like a new toy for the Cowboys’ offense. While it’s Dak Prescott who gets to play with Pickens, it’s Jones who will reap the rewards if this deal pays off.

There’s still a long road ahead for Dallas to build chemistry in this new offense. But if Pickens melds as quickly as the Cowboys hope, he should expect plenty more smiles from Jerry Jones.
