Red Bull protege Rocco Coronel is the main improver in the Ryan Motorsport Insurance Autosport National Rankings this week after taking another two Ginetta Junior wins at Oulton Park.

The Dutch teenager was just 0.003 seconds away from a hat-trick in Cheshire but narrowly missed out in a drag race to the line in the finale.

Nevertheless, he still climbs from joint 12th to second on the leaderboard after taking his 2025 tally to seven victories, two behind table-topper Ali Bray. Remarkably that now means, alongside Steve Gambrell, there are two car racing rookies in the top three of Autosport’s winners’ table!

After huge shuffling on the leaderboard last week, there were fewer race meetings this time around and Coronel is the only change inside the top 10. Instead, you have to go all the way down to 14th place to find the next driver to rise up the rankings.

Jamie Osborne’s unbeaten Mini Challenge victory streak did come to an end at Snetterton, but he still bagged two more triumphs that have allowed him to reenter the rankings.

The only other driver to improve inside the top half of the leaderboard this week is prolific Caterham racer Paul Goldstein. He registered a win in the 7 Racing category at Brands Hatch to leap from 46th to 21st.

Further back, reigning Formula Vee champion Matt Harbot again performed in line with the name of his AHS Dominator steed by extending his undefeated run with another two wins as the category returned to Castle Combe for the first time in nearly a decade. He is a new entry to the table in joint 26th spot.

Another new name in the top 50 this week is Lotus Elan pilot Frazer Gibney. He twice comfortably topped the slim Historic Road Sports division at Cadwell Park to move into joint 31st.

All car races in UK and Ireland are included except qualification/repechage, consolation and handicap races. No races in other countries. 

Class wins are only counted when there are at least six starters in the class, except: when the race is part of a multi-stage event where six or more have taken part in earlier heats that feed into a semi-final or final; when multiple championships are merged in the same race, the ‘overall’ winner from the slower championship can count a class win as long as that championship has at least 10 starters across all classes. Only classes divided by car characteristics are included, not those divided by driver characteristics such as ability, professional status, age, experience (for example rookie or Pro-Am classes). Each race counts only once, so an overall winner’s class win is not added. 

Where there is a tie, overall wins take precedence. Where there is still a tie, average grid size for a driver’s wins determines the order.
