COCO GAUFF was left embarrassed after walking onto court without her rackets.
The world No2 beat Olivia Gadecki 6-2 6-2 in her French Open first round clash today.
But her campaign in Paris got off to a nightmare start when she went to warm up on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
Gauff unzipped her bag and realised her rackets were not in there.
The baffled 21-year-old immediately turned to her team sat in the stands with a perplexed look on her face.
She then picked up her empty bag and held it open towards them, appearing to simply ask: “Rackets?”
A ball boy then came to the rescue, sprinting onto court holding five of the current French Open champion’s rackets.
Asked about the bizarre scenes post-match, Gauff explained: “The culprit is not in the box because he knows the rackets are supposed to be in my bag.
“Honestly, as long as I have been on tour, my coach has always put the rackets in the bag before the match because he is very superstitious.
“He likes to grip each racket new each day. I don’t care. I can play with a dirty grip.
“I go on the court and I realise I have no rackets and I literally just made fun of Frances Tiafoe for it. But now I’ll be quiet.
“But I’m blaming it on my coach, so it’s OK.”
Tiafoe, who beat Roman Safiullin in the first round at Roland-Garros on Sunday, forgot his rackets in March during a clash in Indian Wells.
The start of the match was delayed as the American’s coach David Witt was seen sprinting out the stands to go and get them.
Forgetting her rackets is not Gauff’s only blunder in recent weeks after she served to Qinwen Zheng in Rome while her opponent was not on the court.
