Chelsea were in near complete control of this first half until we hit 20 minutes and things have exploded.

They looked matured and composed, but Moises Caicedo torpedoed that, conceding the free-kick which led to the opener before a ridiculous challenge handed Harry Kane the chance to double the lead.

It is a fine response from Cole Palmer, the only one Enzo Maresca can really rely upon in these situations at the moment. Time for others to step up too.

31. In the build-up to that Chelsea goal, there was a clash between Joao Pedro and Dayot Upamecano off the ball.

It was enough to have a pumped-up Enzo Maresca complain to the officials amid the celebrations, an act which earned the Blues boss a yellow card.

In fact, they’re right back in it, and in some style too.

Moises Caicedo collects possession just outside his own penalty area and passes into the path of Cole Palmer.

The England international sets off through the middle at some pace, holding on to possession until eventually challenge on the edge of the Bayern box.

Finding Malo Gusto to his right, Palmer continues his run into the area and when he receives the ball, plants a beautiful effort into the top corner with the inside of his foot.
