TWO European giants will share one pitch this Saturday as Manchester United legends travel to Celtic Park for a charity rematch against the Bhoys.
Wayne Rooney marked his return to Old Trafford in last year’s match with a spectacular free-kick.
But Gary Hooper’s strike took the encounter to penalties, where Celtic would go on to become victorious after Danny Webber’s missed spot kick.
However, the main objective of the match was to raise money for charity, and it generated almost £1 million in revenue, which helped to support Manchester United Foundation’s work with young people in Greater Manchester and other outreach areas in the United Kingdom.
And to the joy of fans on both sides, the legends will do it all over again but this time, at Celtic Park.

“We’ve had some great games – Barcelona, Real Madrid. Celtic gave us a right good game last year, when they came down to Old Trafford.
“All the lads are looking forward to the game up at Celtic, they’ve got great charisma and a great fanbase, who are passionate about their football. All the boys are looking forward to going up to Glasgow.
“I enjoy it because you see a lot of people who you’ve played against and people who have done fantastically well in football.
“There are some right characters, which is great. The main thing is that it’s great charities that benefit from these games. The United lads know how important it is for our Foundation and, of course, the Celtic Foundation.”
