Canelo Vows Turki Alalshikh Will Be “So Mad” After He Defeats Crawford

Canelo Vows Turki Alalshikh Will Be “So Mad” After He Defeats Crawford

Canelo Alvarez says he knows Turki Alalshikh is in Terence Crawford’s corner for their fight, and he’s going to be “so mad” after he beats him on September 13th.

Crawford’s Confident Belt Claim

Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) told Canelo that his four super middleweight titles will be his and he will be coming home with him after he beats the Mexican star. Terence is pumped up from 17 years of beating fighters from 135 to 154.

The victories have given the four-division world champion Crawford the impression that he’s infallible, walk on water, and will do to Canelo (63-2-2, 39 KOs) what he’d done in those weight classes. It’s an ego thing.

Crawford owes Turki for getting him this fight, because this is a match that he wanted. Without him, Terence would still be at 154, dealing with the young predators in that division, who would take advantage of his age and lack of power.

Terence Crawford: “For sure them belts are coming with me. They coming home with me. I’m telling you right now.”

Canelo Challenges Crawford’s Take

Canelo Alvarez: “You can see it, but it’s going to be difficult for you to take it.”

Crawford: “I’m taking them. There ain’t nothing you’re going to be able to do about it come fight night.”

You can see that Canelo is letting Terence know here that he can see his belts, but that’s it. He’s not going to get his hands on them. He’s not going to be able to win a controversial decision over Canelo like in his last fight against WBA 154-lb champion Israil Madrimov.

The only way Bud can capture Alvarez’s titles is by actually beating him. He won’t be given a gift from the judges like in his last fight. Fans are still talking about that fight. Crawford got lit up all night by ‘Little GGG’ and looked like he’d been run over by a truck at the end. Now that was at 154. If Madrimov was able to do that to Crawford, you can only imagine.

Alvarez: “I know Turki is your corner.”

That was a great line by Canelo, talking about Turki being in his corner. Crawford didn’t have much to say in reaction. He owes Turki for giving him this fight on a silver platter without having to risk his hide entertaining the general population at 168 among all the lurking predators that would feast on Crawford.

Alvarez’s Turki Prediction

Crawford: “I promise you.”

Alvarez: “It’s going to be very difficult. He’s going to be so mad that day. Believe me.”

Crawford: “I see you. You see I’m different.”

Alvarez: “I see you, too.”

Crawford: “You see I’m different from all the other ones.”

Alvarez: “I see you. You don’t look different. You’re nothing different.”

Crawford: “I’m different.”
