BRUNO FERNANDES has been given 72 hours to decide on his future at Manchester United, according to reports.
The midfielder’s future is up in the air following one of Man Utd’s worst ever seasons and he is now being told to make his mind up this week.
According to the Mail Online, Fernandes has been given a “take it or leave it” offer by Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal.
The Riyadh club are said to be willing to QUADRUPLE Fernandes’ wages – offering him a tax-free pay packed of £700,000-PER-WEEK.
That contract would total up to £200MILLION over the course of a three-year deal.
It’s thought that Fernandes’ representatives have been in negotiations with Al-Hilal, but the Saudi Pro League club have now tabled their final offer.
The Portuguese playmaker opened the door for an exit after United’s Europa League heartbreak at the hands of Tottenham.
He said: “If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in, it is what it is.”
United’s failure to qualify for Europe in any form for the first time since 2015 has left them in dire financial straits.
It’s thought that Al-Hilal would test the waters with a bid in the region of £100m if Fernandes does agree personal terms.
However, manager Ruben Amorim has remained steadfast in his stance that the club captain is not for sale.
He said this week: “He is really important for us and what we want to build for the team.
“We talk about this many times. You can see by his performances. You can see by his leadership.
“You can see the passion he has for the game. In difficult moments Bruno is the guy who takes responsibility. He should do because he is the captain.”
