Brandon Moore vs DeAndre Savage: Heavyweights Collide in Detroit Tonight at the Fox Theatre

Detroit finally gets its big fight night back, and it all goes down tonight at the Fox Theatre. Brandon “OJ Bam” Moore (18-1, 10 KOs) defends his USBA heavyweight belt against Flint’s unbeaten KO puncher DeAndre Savage (10-0, 10 KOs). The card streams live worldwide on DAZN.

This is Moore’s chance to prove he’s more than talk, and Savage’s shot to show his knockout streak is no fluke. When the two faced off at the final press conference, sparks flew, and now the countdown is over. Tonight is fight night in Detroit.

Moore Playing Chess, Savage Promising Chaos

Moore kept it cool: “This will be a very easy, tactical fight. Savage says it only takes one punch, but he’s going to have to find it.” He even added: “He wants my belt, but the only belt he’s going to get is this belt to his a**.”

Savage wasn’t backing down. “On September 19, y’all are about to see fireworks,” he shot back. “I’m predicting I will knock Brandon Moore out by the sixth round. This is the biggest fight of my career.”

SugarHill Brings Kronk Spirit to the Stage

Trainer SugarHill Steward, carrying Detroit’s Kronk legacy, reminded the city what’s at stake. “When you got in the ring with a Kronk fighter, you knew it was going to be a tough fight. Everyone knew the Detroit name carried weight,” he said. “Now here we are at the Fox Theatre, and tonight the fans are getting big-time boxing back in Detroit.”

Middleweight War and Detroit Prospects

Chicago’s Olivia Curry (7-2, 2 KOs) meets Australia’s Kaye Scott (4-1) for the unified WBA/WBC middleweight titles. Both promised “war” tonight.

Detroit’s own Da’Velle Smith (13-0, 8 KOs) also fights on the card and warned fans not to leave their seats: “Don’t go to the bathroom. Get your popcorn. It’s going to be electric.”
